The Landcentre project was the former government office building (Department of Natural Resources, Mines & Energy) located at 867-873 Main Street, Woolloongabba QLD. The site consisted of a 9 storey office building adjoining to a 3 storey podium structure with basement carpark and a 2 storey dental hospital built in the 1980’s. Both of the structures were located above the Clem7 tunnel and were built on contaminated fill material.

The scope of works consisted of 2 main packages:

1. The complete demolition of all structures including footing removal 1 metre below final RL.

2. The remediation of the contaminates within the Lot boundaries to remove from the contaminated land register.  The remediation works included the removal of below ground asbestos pipes, excavation and disposal of 80,000 tight cubic metres of classified waste to their respective landfills and providing draining & scorn free site at handover.
